"Thats Long" "Thats What Eddie Said"

Eddie Long, pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church has been accused of sexually assaulting fore teen boys. Now, right off the back there is something wrong. Anyone who knows about Eddie Long Knows that Eddie is a heterosexual multimillionaire pastor how is against homosexuality. Well that is what they thought. When I heard about a multimillion-dollar pastor accused of sexually assaulting fore teen boys I did some research.

With In the first 30 minutes of researching I was not surprised of his actuation's made against him. I’m not saying Eddie is gay or any thing, but the first sermons I heard from him he was perishing about spreading gods sperm to young boys. Secondly, he made a youth group for boys called The Long Fellows, yes The Long Fellows. Next, when I heard that he was sending pictures of him posing in a muscle shirt to teen boys. That put the icing on the cake.

Many people say that the pictures are just showing them that he is proud of his body. As a pastor, sending any youth in your community a picture of yourself in a bathroom is always inappropriate. If a nearly 50-year-old man sent me a photo of himself in any form would be scary.

 What took it over the top is when reading about him bringing these young boys into his house alone and asking them to rub his leg. Ok being a heterosexual male, if a nearly 50-year-old man sent me a photo of himself flexing the first think to come to mind is Herbert from Family Guy.

The only thing left, is to see if Eddie is found guilty or innocent and if found guilty this will raise two issues, if found guilty will his congregation stick behind him and how much of this has to do with homosexuality in the church.

Eddie Long has a 3.07 million dollar Salary from charity, a 1.4 million house with  six bedrooms and 9 baths, drives a $350.000 Bentley, and accepts patron and love offerings from the church. Meaning he gets side money from his congregation, ( maybe Eddie had fore to many love offerings).  It would be hard to follow a man that is making that much money off the word of god. When asked about how much money he makes a he states, “I’m not your average black pastor I met the president”. He says that but the man he preaches about salary was being nailed to a cross. If sentenced, the question is when he is released will he be accepted back as the pastor of the church, if accepted back into the congregation would not be shocking. This has happened before, Pastor Timothy Lee Leonard, was convicted for rapping up to 22 boys and girls. Leonard was released after 72 days in jail and when released he was welcomed back with open arms.

Homosexuality is growing with in the church. From my view, Homosexuality in church is due to the shortage of fathers in the church. When a boy is influenced more by his grandmother and mother more then a male figure that boy will act like his grandmother and mother. Some will argue that Eddie Long was trying to play that male figure in the young boy’s life. However, a father does not ask his son to massage his leg and if Eddie is innocent he needs to be more careful.

School Uniforms

Waking up in the mooning and getting dress the why you want might be your favorite part of your day, but for others getting dress is a way to be late to school and be the worst part of the day. Then when they get to school late they get teased by the way they look. Because one person is wearing American Eagle and Air Jordan’s while the other person is wearing an old shirt their grandma gave them for their birthday and cheap five dollar knockoff Pole sneakers that are falling apart at the rim.

That’s were school uniforms come in. The science behind School uniforms is supposed to eliminate bullying and make students feel equal, but does school uniforms violate student’s right and does it dull student’s creativity. As a young male student myself I am against school uniforms. A person should be entitled to what they can wear. Having students wear uniforms is almost like putting tape over someone’s mouth and taking away their right of speech.

School uniforms were also made to make sure students will not wear anything inappropriate in school. However some might say catholic uniforms skirts are somewhat inappropriate you can be the juge of that. Although, I am against school uniforms every school should have a dress code. Another factor on how a student dresses is their parents. A parent plays a big role in what their kids look like when they leave the house for school.

Teens are the reflection of their parents so if a parent has taught their teen self-confidence will eliminate bullying.  

Repeating time                                                                                     

  They say history always repeats itself. History maybe repeating its self right now, President Barrack Obama our 44th president, our youngest president, and our first black president is in almost the same position has our 26th president Theodore Roosevelt. Roosevelt also the youngest president of his time at 43 years old was almost overthrown while in its second year in office. There are two similarities, one possibility, and one group of people involved in both presidents terms.  

    To start both presidents was elected in to office under the same circumstances, in the middle of a war. Both presidents came into office during a debatable war. Roosevelt was World War one and Obama is unfortunately is in the middle of The Iraq War. Both wars created a bad economy casing a depression.

Roosevelt tried to balance the interests of farmers, workers, and businesspeople. He also preferred continuous regulation of giant corporations. To translate this in to modern day Obama is trying to balance the interests of the poor, middle, and small businesses. Obama also prefers regulations and raised taxes on the rich and large corporations. Raising taxes and regulations did not sit right with large corporations in the 20th or 21st century.

    Corporations in the 20th and 21st century used the poor to do their dirty work for them. In the early 90s, Singer Sewing supported nervous solders to try to overthrow President Roosevelt and replace him with a dictator. They would use unemployed World War I veterans has their power. They chose Douglas MacArthur title a great general in American history to lead the soldiers and to be the successor of Roosevelt if over thrown. The people trying to overthrow FDR saw that Douglass would be easy to control and he would get the support of the veterans.

     Douglass often got in trouble when he publicly criticized Roosevelt’s foreign forums. Douglass later retires from his military duty and takes up being a professional speaker. Protected by the constitution Douglas was able to speak more freely about more subjects.

    The Koch brother’s owner of bounty paper towels has given the teabag movement and the war against 

Obama over hundred million dollars to the tea party movement alone. The Koch brothers are much like Singer Sewing; Sara Palin is the modern day Douglas MacArthur, and the tea baggers are the soldiers. Sara Palin easily controlled acting as the face of the tea bag movement while big power and corporations are controlling behind the scene. The only different thing about Palin and Douglas is that Douglas McArthur questioned who was trying to control him.
